Pollen- the best source of protein, important vitamins and minerals. Pollen is the most perfect food found in nature. Pollen contains 5 to 7 times more proteins than meat. A perfect source of vitamins, minerals (contains 28 minerals) and amino acids. Out of the existing 22 amino acids all of them were found in pollen. It also contains many enzymes that are crucial for digestion. Such a richness of nutritious matter is not found in any other product. Pollen is a natural cure for allergies and prostate ailments as well as a fortifier of the immune system.
Pollen is best absorbed when melted in milk acids (yoghurt, milk, acidophilus, milk kefir) with vitamin C (granulated vitamin drink, tea with lemon) and mixed with honey, so that is the best way of consumption.
- Positive effects of pollen:
- increases fertility
- increases the leukocyte count, erythrocyte and platelet
- enhances blood circulation
- bio-stimulative and regenerative properties (liver)
- antibacterial effect (Gram negative bacteria) intestine – stomach issues and urine infections (Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Proteus Vulgaris)
- reduction of triglyceride
- helps with digestion
- helps with exhaustion
Propolis is a natural antibiotic that, in addition to alleviating these problems, greatly enhances the body’s immunity and improves general condition and resistance.
There are no strictly defined daily doses of pollen, but it is recommended that:
1-2 teaspoons daily for children
1-2 tablespoons daily for adults,
up to 4 tablespoons a day for the sick.
Our pollen is obtained from 9 different pastures throughout Croatia, from Baranja, Slavonia and Posavina to Lika, Primorje and Banovina, which gives it special value. Such pollen possesses biodiversity from multiple climatic and geographical areas, which is a huge advantage because as such in consumption it has additional health benefits than those found in plants in the micro-locations where you live.
It is best absorbed and used if it is dissolved in lactic acids (yogurt, milk, acidophilus, kefir ..), with vitamin C (cedevita- Croatian drink, lemon tea) and mixed in honey, so its use is recommended.
A lot of people make a mistake when they consume and prepare pollen. For example, some will take a teaspoon of pollen, chew it and swallow it. Some put a spoon of pollen in water, sweeten it and drink it. The third will grind the pollen powder and eat it immediately.
Why is such consumption considered wrong? Because pollen grains cannot be digested. Specifically, the celluloid membrane that surrounds the pollen grain cannot be broken down, so the granules just pass through the organism without using at least one nutrient.
In order to benefit from pollen, it is important to soak it (in the already mentioned lactic acids, vitamin c or honey) in order for the membrane to swell and burst.
